Account Security

• • You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• • You're responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
• • We're not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and using our services. You must update this information promptly if it changes.

One Account Per User

Each person may only maintain one Ethospace account. Multiple accounts by the same person are prohibited.

For Landlords - Tiered Monthly Subscription

Your subscription cost is based on the number of units you manage. The more units, the lower your per-unit cost:

• • Auto-Adjusting: Your tier and pricing update automatically when you add or remove units
• • Proration: Changes to unit count are prorated in your next billing cycle
• • What's Included: All features available at every tier - no feature restrictions
• • 100% of Rent: You receive the full rent amount - no deductions or transaction fees
• • Late Fees: All late fees charged to tenants go 100% to you
• • Payouts: Direct to your bank account via Stripe (typically 2-3 business days)
• • Cancel Anytime: No contracts, no commitments, no cancellation fees

For Tenants

• • No Monthly Fees: Using Ethospace is completely free - no subscription or membership fees ever
• • ACH/Bank Transfers: Flat fee of $2.50 per transaction (cheapest option, recommended)
• • Credit/Debit Cards: 4.9% + $0.30 per transaction (processes instantly)
• • Fee Transparency: All fees are clearly displayed before you confirm payment - no surprises
• • 100% to Landlord: Your full rent payment goes to your landlord - processing fees only cover Stripe's costs
• • Late Fees: Set by your landlord as specified in your lease agreement. Ethospace does not add additional late fees
• • Other Methods: You can also record payments made via Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, check, or cash (no processing fees for manual recording)

Payment Processing

All electronic payments are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By using payment features, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy.

• • We do not store full credit card or bank account numbers
• • Payment information is encrypted and securely stored by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1)
• • Landlords receive payouts directly from Stripe to their connected bank account
• • Payouts typically process within 2-3 business days
• • All processing fees go directly to payment processors - Ethospace does not profit from transaction fees

Subscription Changes for Landlords

Your subscription tier and cost automatically adjust based on the number of units you manage:

• • Adding a unit may change your tier and per-unit price
• • Removing a unit may change your tier and per-unit price
• • Changes are prorated based on your billing cycle
• • You can view your current tier and pricing details anytime in the Subscription page
• • Billing occurs monthly via Stripe on your subscription anniversary date

Refunds & Disputes

Rent payments made through Ethospace are transactions between tenants and landlords. Disputes must be resolved between the parties involved. Ethospace does not issue refunds for rent payments. For card payment disputes, standard credit card dispute resolution processes apply through your card issuer. Landlord subscription fees are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges.

Prohibited Activities

• • Use the platform for any illegal purpose or violate any laws
• • Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information
• • Impersonate another person or entity
• • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
• • Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
• • Collect or harvest user data without consent
• • Use the platform to spam or send unsolicited communications

Community Guidelines

When using community features:

• • Be respectful and considerate of other residents
• • Do not post offensive, discriminatory, or inflammatory content
• • Respect others' privacy and do not share personal information without consent
• • Report inappropriate content to your landlord or Ethospace assistance

Our Property

The Ethospace platform, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Ethospace and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, messages, documents). By uploading content, you grant Ethospace a license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide our services. You represent that you have the right to upload any content you share.

No Liability for User Actions

We are not responsible for the conduct of users, the accuracy of information provided by users, or disputes between landlords and tenants. We are not a party to any rental agreements or leases.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ethospace shall not be liable for:

• • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• • Damages exceeding the fees you've paid to Ethospace in the past 12 months
• • Issues arising from third-party services (Stripe, email providers, etc.)

Third-Party Services

We integrate with third-party services like Stripe for payments. We're not responsible for the performance, availability, or security of these services. Their use is subject to their own terms.

Your Rights

You may close your account at any time through Account Settings. Upon closure, you will no longer have access to the platform. Some data may be retained for legal compliance.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• • Violation of these Terms
• • Fraudulent or illegal activity
• • Non-payment of fees
• • Abusive behavior toward other users or staff
• • Extended period of inactivity

Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with Ethospace, please contact us first at ethospaceassist@gmail.com. We'll work in good faith to resolve the issue.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Ethospace is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules. You waive your right to participate in class actions.
